School Rumble is a romantic comedy series which revolves around a girl named Tenma Tsukamoto. (the girl shown) She has a secret crush on a stone-faced, mild-mannered, and quiet boy named Oji Karasuma who hardly even notices her. The love-sick (but generally clueless) Tenma finds it difficult to confess her love to him. The plot thickens when the school bad-ass and delinquent Kenji Harima, (the guy shown) ends up in the same class as Tenma, and he has a crush on Tenma. But he too, has difficulty confessing to her. The attempts of the two characters to confess their respective loves are running gags seen throughout the whole series. Harima is such a fascinating and hilarious character that he alone makes the entire series worth watching. This series will literally have you anxious to see what happens next in each new episode. For most of us guys who have ever had a crush on a girl when we were young I think we can relate to how Harima feels. It's just so funny to watch him though, saying to himself "Today's the day! Today's the day I'll tell Tenma how I feel!!!" only to fail miserably each time due to some mishap. It almost makes you feel kind of sad for the guy. But he keeps trying to talk to her, and get close to her regardless. This series can be enjoyed by the entire family too. It's a fun series to watch for any age group.

Please Teacher is a very heartwarming series. Mizuho Kazami (the woman shown) is an alien from outer space sent to earth by the Galactic Federation to observe humans. Unfortunately when she landed on earth, she was spotted by a young boy named Kei Kusanagi. Kei though, is actually an 18 year old with a 15 year olds body. He suffers from a rare disease, which had him in an a coma for about 3 years. When Kazami questions Kei, she discovers that he knows her secret, but Kei promises to keep it a secret. And that worked out fine, until the school principal discovered a young boy and his female teacher both locked up in a school supply room. So to avoid Kazami from getting fired (and failing her mission) and Kei getting suspended, they tell the principal that they have known each other long before they came to this school, and are in fact... married. Over time, Kei and Kazami development romantic feelings for one another. This series proves that it is indeed possible to find love in some of the strangest of situations. When I first heard of this series, I did not like the idea of a teacher/student relationship, so I didn't bother to watch it. I thought it would be boring. But honestly, after seeing how popular this series has become among the fans, I had to sit down and give it a chance. And (surprise!) I found myself hooked to it! I watched this series to the very end. But- as you may have already guessed, I don't recommend this one for young children. It's obvious why they made Kei 18, in a 15 year olds body. That'd be way too offensive and perverted if he was under age. There are several parts where Kei blushes from staring at Kazami's breasts. And she teases him: "You looked at my breasts, didn't you?". Although, its funny, that they do sleep in separate beds... And even though the idea of Kazami being an alien from outer space is a little far-fetched to me, the relationship shared between her and Kei has some rather interesting and awkward situations that are acted out so well, they are almost really believable, and at times hilarious. All in all, this is one worth checking out. I dig it.
